It’s Never A Good Day to Put a Dog Down

And so the time has come to say goodbye to our brown boy. A hard decision but a peaceful end. We love you Max and may flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.

Something compelled me to sneak up on these two a few nights ago with my camera in hand. Little did I know that Max would take such a turn for the worst over a period of just a few days. I am glad I was running around snapping photos on this ordinary night. The chocolate horse was one of many nicknames we had for Max and 13 1/2 years is a good run for a lab. It goes without saying our house will not be the same without Max the Million.

Quote of the Day: “A really companionable and indispensable dog is an accident of nature. You can’t get it by breeding for it, and you can’t buy it with money. It just happens along.” – E B White, The Care and Training of a Dog
